Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Grease a large bowl with vegetable oil and set aside.
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl, creating a well in the center.
- Add butter, eggs, and the flour mixture, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, adding more flour if sticky.
- Transfer the dough to the greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Line a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
- Melt the butter and measure the maple syrup.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out into 4 equal pieces.
- Spread melted butter and maple syrup on each piece, then sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Cut the dough into strips and arrange them in the pan, spiraling inward.
- Drizzle remaining maple syrup over the roll and let it rise for another 45-60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream, cream cheese icing, or whipped cream.
