Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in ¾ cup of shredded cheese and the herbs.
- Add the milk and beaten egg, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Drop the dough into 12 mounds on the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly.
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 9 minutes, then sprinkle with remaining cheese and flakey salt.
- Return to the oven and bake until golden brown, about 3 to 5 more minutes.
