Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Roll the pie crust dough into a 12-inch circle on parchment paper and transfer it to a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt, then add lemon juice and stir.
- Add sliced pears to the mixture and coat them well.
- Arrange the pears on the dough, leaving a 2-inch border.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and dot with butter.
- Prepare an egg wash by beating the egg with water and brush it over the crust.
- Sprinkle granulated sugar over the crust and pears.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the crust is golden and the pears are bubbly.
- Cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
