Homemade Hummus

Ingredients

The hummus

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • cup tahini
  • 7-8 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp reserved chickpea liquid (or water)
  • 4-8 drops Tabasco sauce

For serving

  • to taste olive oil
  • to taste paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except salt in a food processor and blend until coarsely pureed.
  2. Gradually add salt to taste, adjusting as needed.
  3. Scoop the hummus into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Garnish with paprika before serving.
