Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Cheese Biscuits

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing well.
- Cut the butter into small pieces and mix into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the grated cheese.
- Add the buttermilk and mix gently, being careful not to overmix.
- Knead the dough lightly 8 to 10 times, then flatten to a thickness of ¾ inch.
- Cut out biscuit rounds using a glass or cookie cutter.
- Place the rounds on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.
