Ingredients

The base

  • 1 can (15 oz.) black beans
  • 1/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt

For blending

  • 2 tablespoons water or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by draining and rinsing the black beans.
  2. In a food processor, combine the black beans, cacao powder, coconut sugar, almond butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Add water or maple syrup and blend again until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
  5. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
