Super Easy No-Knead Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • ¼ cup freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¼ cup nonfat dry milk
  • 1 ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer on high speed for about 3 minutes until the dough is sticky and thick.
  2. Spray an 8 ½ x 4 ½-inch loaf pan with oil and transfer the dough into the pan.
  3. Cover the pan with lightly greased plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for 60–90 minutes until it rises to the rim of the pan.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  5. Remove the plastic wrap and bake the bread for 40–45 minutes, tenting with aluminum foil after 20 minutes.
  6. Check if the bread is done when it is golden brown and an instant-read thermometer reads 190–195°F.
  7. Cool the bread in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove it and cool on a wire rack before slicing.
