Instructions
- Prepare the slow cooker on low and season the pork with kosher salt.
- Mix the brown sugar, dried onion, garlic powder, cracked pepper, sage, and chili powder in a bowl.
- Rub the dijon mustard on the pork and apply the seasoning mix.
- Cook the pork in the slow cooker for 1 hour without any liquids.
- After an hour, add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar, and cook for an additional 6-7 hours.
- Shred the pork and let it soak in the juices for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Form the pulled pork into mounds on the baking sheet, top with cheese and french fried onions, then cover with the top buns brushed with melted butter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Strain the broth to make the au jus and serve with the sliders.
