Ingredients

The cake

  • cups pastry flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 cup Guinness beer

For topping

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. In a standing mixer, combine milk, oil, vanilla, eggs, and Greek yogurt, mixing until frothy.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until incorporated.
  5. Add the Guinness beer and mix for one minute until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the bundt pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Once cooled, sift powdered sugar on top before serving.
