Apple Coffee Cake

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and lightly grease and flour an 8-inch springform pan.
- Peel, quarter, and core the apples, then cut each quarter into ½-inch-thick wedges.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth, then add sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Beat in the milk, eggs, and vanilla, then add the flour mixture and beat until smooth.
- Spread the batter in the prepared pan and arrange the apple wedges on top, brushing with half of the apple jelly.
- Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 50 to 60 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean.
- Cool the cake on a wire rack for 15 minutes before removing the sides of the pan.
- Brush the top of the cake with the remaining apple jelly and cool completely before serving.
