Delicious Baked Tofu

Ingredients

The tofu

  • 1 pound extra-firm or firm tofu

The marinade

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยบ F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Combine soy sauce, maple syrup, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the marinade and let them sit for at least 15 minutes, ideally 1 hour.
  4. After marinating, remove the tofu from the marinade and arrange it evenly on the baking sheet, reserving the marinade.
  5. Bake the tofu for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the tray from the oven, brush more marinade on top of the tofu, flip it, and repeat on the other side, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Return the tofu to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until crispy and browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
