Ingredients

The pickles

  • 2 cups dill pickle chips

The breading

  • ¼ cup white whole wheat flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper

For serving

  • to taste Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pickle chips dry and set up your workstation with flour, egg mixture, and breadcrumb mixture.
  2. Dredge the pickle slices in flour, then egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, shaking off excess.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and coat the basket with nonstick spray.
  4. Arrange a single layer of pickles in the air fryer basket and coat the tops with nonstick spray.
  5. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and crisp, then remove and sprinkle with salt before serving.
