Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by pressing and tearing it into pieces, then coat with soy sauce and seasonings.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu until crispy on all sides, then set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté onions, pineapples, and bell peppers until onions are translucent.
- In a separate bowl, mix sugar, ketchup, vinegar, water, soy sauce, and garlic powder for the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the sautéed vegetables, bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened.
- Add the crispy tofu back into the pan, stir to combine, and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve topped with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
