Garlic Butter Steamers

Ingredients

The clams

  • 1 ½ lbs steamer clams, soft shell, cleaned and scrubbed

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon flat-leaf Italian parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a small pot and add the melted butter.
  2. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, but not browned.
  3. Add the soft shell clams to the pot and stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the white wine and cover the pot with its lid.
  5. Steam and cook for about 5 minutes, or until all the clams have opened.
  6. Add parsley and salt to taste.
  7. Serve immediately with crusty bread.
