Ingredients

The shrimp

The egg wash

The coating

The frying oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the cooking oil to 350-375 degrees F.
  2. Peel and clean the shrimp, optionally butterflying them.
  3. Prepare the egg wash by mixing eggs and buttermilk.
  4. Dip the shrimp into the egg wash, ensuring they are completely covered.
  5. Coat the egg-washed shrimp in seasoned bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
  6. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes depending on size.
  7. Drain the fried shrimp on a rack or paper towels before serving.
