Ingredients

Ground Turkey Tacos

  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • lbs lean ground turkey (93/7)
  • 1 cup diced red onion
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoon ancho chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Cilantro Lime Crema

  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • 1 large lime (juice)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • to taste salt & pepper

Other Ingredients

  • 1 avocado, diced
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 10–12 leaves Butter Lettuce
  • 2 tablespoon fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Blend garlic, greek yogurt, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add avocado oil and red onion, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in cumin, smoked paprika, ancho chili powder, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  6. Serve the turkey mixture on butter lettuce leaves topped with avocado, cherry tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and cilantro lime crema.
