Ingredients

The filling

  • 1 ¼ lb 99% fat-free lean ground turkey
  • 1 ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 4.5 oz can chopped green chiles
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen corn
  • 1 15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup chunky salsa
  • 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
  • Juice of half lime

The wraps

  • 12 leaves butter lettuce

Optional toppings

  • to taste shredded cheese
  • to taste avocado
  • to taste sour cream

Instructions

  1. 1. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until it starts to crumble and brown.
  2. 2. Add chili powder, cumin, and oregano, cooking until the turkey is fully browned.
  3. 3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, green chiles, corn, black beans, salsa, and cilantro.
  4. 4. Cook for about 5 minutes until heated through, then mix in lime juice.
  5. 5. Serve about ¼ cup of the turkey mixture in each lettuce leaf and add desired toppings.
