Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the butter mixture until just blended.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Portion the dough into 1¾ oz balls and chill for at least three hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Place the dough balls on an ungreased jelly roll pan and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 8-11 minutes, rotating halfway through, until slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies sit for 5 minutes on the tray before transferring to a cooling rack.
