Instructions
- Season the brisket generously with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.
- Heat oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the brisket for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the brisket and sauté sliced onions, garlic, and thyme in the same pan until fragrant.
- Add Worcestershire and soy sauce to the pan and cook for another minute.
- Place the sautéed onions in the slow cooker, add the brisket, and top with three-quarters of the barbecue sauce.
- Cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- Let the beef rest for 15 minutes after cooking, then brush with remaining barbecue sauce, slice, and serve.
