Slow Cooker Beef Brisket

The brisket

beef brisket

barbecue sauce

Instructions
- 1. Whisk together the rub ingredients in a small bowl.
- 2. Rub the mixture all over the brisket and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- 3. Place the brisket in the slow cooker and cover it.
- 4. Cook on HIGH for 8 to 10 hours.
- 5. Preheat the oven broiler on HIGH.
- 6. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet.
- 7. Brush the brisket with barbecue sauce on all sides.
- 8. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce is sticky and bubbly.
- 9. Let the brisket rest under foil for 10 minutes before slicing.
- 10. Serve on Texas toast or rolls with coleslaw or red cabbage and scallions.
