Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare an 8x8 inch pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cream of tartar, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the brown sugar and butter in a stand mixer, then add eggs and vanilla until combined.
- Mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in the diced apples and chopped almonds.
- Spread the batter in the prepared pan.
- In a food processor, combine strudel ingredients and pulse to mix.
- Sprinkle the strudel mixture over the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting.
