Ingredients

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp sea salt, finely ground
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter together using a stand mixer for at least two minutes on high speed.
  3. Add the egg and mix slowly, then add the vanilla and maple syrup one at a time, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture on low speed until fully mixed.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula.
  7. Spoon out dough portions of about 2 tablespoons each and form into balls.
  8. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about ten minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  10. Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
