Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup plant-based vanilla protein powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • cups unsweetened, plain almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron to medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, almond milk, and vanilla.
  3. Add the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix until combined.
  4. Stir in the melted coconut oil and mix again.
  5. Lightly spray the waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Pour about ½ cup of batter onto the waffle maker, close, and flip.
  7. Cook for about 1½ to 2 minutes, then check if it needs more time.
  8. Remove the waffle with non-stick tongs and let cool for a few minutes.
