Ingredients

Boiled Shrimp

  • 6 cups water
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lb shrimp, fresh, shell on

Cocktail Sauce

  • ½ cup organic ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp Tabasco

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large stockpot, combine water, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and Old Bay seasoning.
  2. 2. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
  3. 3. Once boiling, add the fresh shrimp and stir.
  4. 4. Cook the shrimp for approximately 3 minutes until they are opaque and pink/peach in color.
  5. 5. Drain the shrimp in a strainer.
  6. 6. Serve immediately or chill in an ice bath if serving as a shrimp cocktail.
  7. 7. For the cocktail sauce, mix all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined and adjust to taste.
