Instructions
- Stem the cherries and remove the pits.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cherries, water, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat and cook until the cherries are soft, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
- Puree the cherry mixture and strain it through a fine sieve.
- Freeze the chilled mixture according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
