Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9” x 5” loaf pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix the egg, applesauce, sugar, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
