Instructions
- For the stove top method, bring water and milk to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Add oats and stir, watching closely for bubbling.
- Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until desired consistency is reached.
- For the overnight method, boil water and add oats, then cover and turn off heat.
- Let sit overnight, then add a splash of water or milk and heat in the morning.
- For the slow cooker, coat the cooker with butter or oil, then add oats, water, milk, salt, and cinnamon.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
