Classic Cream Cheese Cutout Cookies

Instructions
- Beat together butter and cream cheese until fluffy, then add sugar and mix until fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, then add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Divide the dough into four portions, shape into disks, wrap, and chill for at least an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 325ºF and roll out the dough to ½-inch thickness, then cut out cookies.
- Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 15 to 18 minutes until edges are lightly golden, then cool on a wire rack.
- Make the icing by mixing confectioner’s sugar with milk until pourable, then decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles.
