Ingredients

The scallops

  • 16 large Sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp Sea salt
  • tsp Black pepper

The bacon

  • 8 strips Bacon

Optional sauce

  • ¼ cup Lemon butter sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to the broil setting and place an oven-safe rack over a baking sheet.
  2. Pat the scallops dry and toss them with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Wrap each scallop with a halved bacon slice and secure with a toothpick, then place on the baking sheet.
  4. Broil the scallops for 5 minutes, flip them, and broil for an additional 4-7 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
  5. Drizzle with lemon butter sauce before serving, if desired.
