Ingredients

The base

  • 2 quarts unfiltered apple juice or cider
  • 1 quart cranberry juice cocktail (100% juice)

The spices and flavorings

  • 1 small orange
  • 3 inches fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp cloves
  • 1.25 oz cinnamon sticks (5-6 small sticks)

Optional garnishes

  • 1 small orange
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries

Instructions

  1. Combine the apple juice and cranberry juice in a slow cooker.
  2. Slice the orange and peel and slice the ginger.
  3. Add the cloves, orange slices, ginger, and cinnamon sticks to the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  5. Once ready, switch to warm to keep hot without overcooking.
  6. Serve with a half slice of orange and fresh cranberries if desired.
