Ingredients

The donuts

  • cups self-rising flour
  • ½ cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • ¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 cup milk of choice

The frosting

  • 1 cup chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175C/350F and grease a 12-count donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift the self-rising flour and add the coconut oil, maple syrup, and milk, mixing until a thick batter forms.
  3. Scoop the batter into the donut pan, shaping it to fit the cavities.
  4. Bake for 13-17 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  5. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Once cool, dip each donut in the chocolate frosting and refrigerate to set.
