Ingredients

The Chocolate Donuts

  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
  • cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

The Chocolate Glaze

  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a standard donut pan with coconut oil.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the coconut flour, cocoa powder, sea salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add the eggs, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
  4. Transfer the batter to a plastic bag, snip off a corner, and pipe the batter into the donut pan.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes until firm to the touch.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, melt together the coconut oil and dark chocolate chips.
  8. Dunk the cooled donuts into the glaze while it's warm, and allow to set.
