Ingredients

The donuts

  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • ¼ cup cacao powder
  • ¼ teaspoon celtic sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup coconut oil, melted
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

The topping

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon palm shortening

Instructions

  1. 1. In a food processor, combine coconut flour, cacao powder, salt, and baking soda.
  2. 2. Add eggs, coconut oil, and maple syrup; pulse until well mixed.
  3. 3. Fill each donut mold halfway with the batter.
  4. 4. Bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove donuts from the pan and cool on a rack.
  6. 6. Cut a hole in the center of each donut using a paring knife.
  7. 7. Melt chocolate chips and palm shortening in a saucepan.
  8. 8. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the donuts and allow to cool before serving.
