Ingredients

The salmon

  • 1 lb salmon
  • to taste salt
  • chopped parsley for garnish

The lemon garlic butter sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon basil
  • teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the salmon in the center.
  3. In a bowl, mix garlic, dijon mustard, melted butter, lemon zest, honey, smoked paprika, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture over the salmon and fold the foil to create a tent.
  5. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until desired doneness.
  6. Remove from the oven and turn the broiler on HIGH.
  7. Unfold the foil and broil the salmon for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly browned.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
