Ingredients

The Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

The Seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • as needed cooking spray
  • as needed lemon wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and place an empty sheet pan in the oven.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Remove the hot sheet pan from the oven and coat it with cooking spray.
  4. 4. Arrange the Brussels sprouts on the pan, cut side down, in a single layer.
  5. 5. Bake for 20 minutes or until the sprouts are deep golden brown and crisp.
  6. 6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve, garnished with lemon wedges if desired.
