  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 3 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 ½ lbs Ground Turkey, 85% Lean
  • ¼ lb Thick Cut Bacon (optional)

Topping Sauce

  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp Real Maple Syrup
  • ½ tsp Liquid Smoke

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg in a large mixing bowl, then add bread crumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, mixing well.
  2. Incorporate ketchup and Dijon mustard into the mixture.
  3. Add ground turkey and mix thoroughly until combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf that fits the air fryer basket, ensuring even thickness.
  5. Place the meatloaf in the air fryer basket and drape bacon strips over it, tucking the ends underneath.
  6. Cook at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  7. While cooking, prepare the topping sauce by mixing ketchup, maple syrup, and liquid smoke.
  8. After 20 minutes, apply the topping sauce generously over the meatloaf.
  9. Cover loosely with sprayed foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Check the internal temperature; if it’s 160°F, let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. If not, cook for another 5 minutes.
  11. Slice and serve with the remaining topping sauce.
