Instructions
- Beat the egg in a large mixing bowl, then add bread crumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, mixing well.
- Incorporate ketchup and Dijon mustard into the mixture.
- Add ground turkey and mix thoroughly until combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf that fits the air fryer basket, ensuring even thickness.
- Place the meatloaf in the air fryer basket and drape bacon strips over it, tucking the ends underneath.
- Cook at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- While cooking, prepare the topping sauce by mixing ketchup, maple syrup, and liquid smoke.
- After 20 minutes, apply the topping sauce generously over the meatloaf.
- Cover loosely with sprayed foil and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; if it’s 160°F, let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. If not, cook for another 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve with the remaining topping sauce.
