Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and prepare the dry ingredients for the crisp topping.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and a pinch of salt.
- Cube the butter and melt it in a saucepan over medium heat until browned.
- Pour the browned butter over the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss them with brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, allspice, and salt.
- Spray a baking dish and add the apple mixture evenly.
- Crumble the crisp topping over the apples.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
