Instructions
- Prepare the homemade teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, water, mirin, rice wine vinegar, granulated sugar, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and cornstarch slurry in a pot and simmering until thickened.
- Adjust the oven rack to about 4 inches from the heating element and preheat the broiler.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced steak with about ⅓ cup of the prepared teriyaki sauce and toss to coat.
- Lay the meat in a single layer on a foil-lined broiler-safe baking sheet.
- Broil the meat for 2 minutes, then flip and broil for an additional 3 to 6 minutes until the desired doneness is reached.
- Brush the cooked meat with the remaining teriyaki sauce and serve over rice.
