Ingredients

The base

  • 4 large Portobello mushrooms
  • 1 spray Olive oil spray
  • to taste Sea salt

The toppings

  • ¾ cup Pizza sauce
  • 3 tbsp Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 16 slices Pepperoni sausage

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and olive oil spray.
  2. Remove the dark gills from the mushrooms and discard them.
  3. Place the mushrooms stem side up on the baking sheet, spray with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt.
  4. Top each mushroom with 1½ tablespoons of sauce, followed by 3 tablespoons of mozzarella and 4 slices of pepperoni.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the mushrooms are soft.
