Steamed Cauliflower

Ingredients

Basic Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • ½ tsp Sea salt (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper (to taste)
  • Water

Optional Add-Ins

  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Grated parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot or Dutch oven with about 1 inch of water and bring to a boil.
  2. Place the cauliflower in a steamer basket and insert it into the pot without submerging it.
  3. Cover with a lid and steam for 5-8 minutes until fork tender.
  4. Transfer the cauliflower to a bowl and add butter or olive oil, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  5. If desired, sprinkle with grated parmesan, a squeeze of lemon juice, and/or fresh parsley.
