Ingredients

The French Toast

  • 1 loaf Challah or Brioche, sliced into ½” pieces
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut rum
  • 1 dash cinnamon

Additions

  • to taste fresh strawberries, chopped with powdered sugar
  • to taste maple syrup
  • to taste breakfast sausage patties or links

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine eggs, milk, coconut rum, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. 2. Preheat the grill to medium direct heat (about 350°F) and coat the grates with canola oil.
  3. 3. Soak the bread pieces in the egg mixture while the grill heats up.
  4. 4. Grill the bread until char marks form, about 4 minutes per side.
  5. 5. Grill breakfast sausage patties or links alongside the French toast.
  6. 6. Serve the French toast with diced strawberries, whipped cream, and sausage.
