Sweet Potato Wedges

Ingredients

The wedges

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes

The seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Wash and dry the sweet potatoes, peeling if desired.
  3. Cut each sweet potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3 or 4 long spears.
  4. Place the spears on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Mix the salt, garlic powder, chipotle powder, black pepper, and rosemary in a bowl, then sprinkle over the potatoes and toss to coat.
  6. Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the wedges, and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until tender.
  8. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes until crispy.
