Instructions
- Peel and dice the sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
- For the Instant Pot method, add the sweet potatoes to the pot with enough water to cover them and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
- Allow steam to release naturally for 10 minutes, then drain the excess water.
- Mash the sweet potatoes using a potato masher.
- Mix in the butter, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Serve the mashed sweet potatoes.
- For the air fryer method, cook whole sweet potatoes at 400 degrees for 35-50 minutes until soft, then mash with the same ingredients.
- For the stovetop method, boil the diced sweet potatoes in water for 15-20 minutes until tender, then mash and mix with the ingredients.
