Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 1 crust Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

The toppings

  • ½ pound asparagus
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 large leeks
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ pound ground turkey
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 4 ounces freshly grated pecorino cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons truffle oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Shave the asparagus into ribbons and toss with olive oil and salt.
  3. Sauté the leeks in olive oil with salt and pepper until softened.
  4. Cook the ground turkey with seasonings until browned.
  5. Shape the pizza dough into a rectangle and transfer to the baking sheet.
  6. Brush the dough with olive oil and layer with leeks, turkey, pecorino, and asparagus.
  7. Bake until the pizza is bubbling and crisp, then drizzle with truffle oil before serving.
