semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped

unsweetened cocoa powder

kosher salt

ground cinnamon (optional)

espresso powder or instant coffee (optional)

pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the vanilla in a medium saucepan.
- Heat over medium, whisking frequently, until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
- Do not let the mixture boil and whisk often.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
- Taste and add additional sugar if desired.
- Serve immediately or transfer to a slow cooker to keep warm.
