Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the loaf pan by oiling it and sprinkling sesame seeds on the bottom and sides.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas and then whisk in the oil, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix in the salt, baking soda, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice until well combined.
- Whisk in the flour until just incorporated, then fold in nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and optionally add banana slices on top.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- For the optional Tahini Maple Spread, mix all ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
