Homemade Apple Pie

Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust by mixing flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Grate cold butter into the flour mixture and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Mix the butter into the flour until it resembles small peas, then gradually add cold water until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two discs, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- For the filling, peel and slice the apples, then toss with lemon juice, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
- Roll out the first disc of dough and fit it into a pie pan, then fill with the apple mixture.
- Roll out the second disc and cut into strips for a lattice top, weaving them over the filling.
- Chill the assembled pie in the freezer for 30 minutes, then preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Brush the pie with egg wash and sprinkle with turbinado sugar before baking.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes at 400°F, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 40-45 minutes.
- Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
