Easy Gluten Free Homemade Pizza Bowls

Ingredients

Caramelized Onions

  • 1 each red or white onion (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1–2 tsp balsamic vinegar

Pizza and Bowl

  • 1 8 in gluten free pizza crust (Udis gluten free)
  • 4 oz cooked ground organic chicken sausage
  • 4 oz goat cheese (crumbled or block to melt)
  • 4 cups spinach or greens
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 small Roma tomato (sliced)
  • to drizzle none olive oil
  • to taste none additional sea salt/pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions and cook in a dry skillet on medium-high for 5 minutes until they start to brown.
  2. Add oil or butter and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 400°F and toast the pizza crust for 5 minutes.
  5. Finely chop or grind the pre-cooked chicken sausage and warm it in a skillet or microwave.
  6. Cook the spinach in a skillet or microwave with a tablespoon of water until wilted, then remove.
  7. Warm the goat cheese until melted, either in the microwave or on the stovetop.
  8. Slice the tomatoes and mince the garlic, then place them on top of the pizza crust slices.
  9. Arrange the spinach, goat cheese, sausage, and caramelized onions in small bowls or one large bowl.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil and serve with the tomato garlic pizza crust slices.
