Ingredients

  • 2 cups extra fine almond flour
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 medium brown bananas
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a medium bowl, mash the bananas until almost smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla to the mashed bananas and mix to combine.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, then fold in half of the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the bread is fragrant and set through the center.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
