Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts

The marinade

  • ¼ cup cooking oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ – 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoons creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper (or black pepper)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1-2 pieces green onions, diced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cooking oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, honey, Dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, creole seasoning, and ground pepper.
  2. Add chopped parsley and diced green onions, stirring until fully combined.
  3. Drench the chicken in the marinade, then seal the bowl or place in a ziplock bag, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. When ready to grill, remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
